The series was born from my 20+ years studying authentic European occult traditions and my deep fascination with Finnish culture. After discovering a living Egyptian vampiric order still operating in Europe, I realized their practices completely contradicted everything popular culture believes about vampires. Add in my love for HIM’s dark romantic aesthetic, years moderating Ville Valo’s official forums, and my close friendship with one of Ville’s former opening acts, Michael Night, (who inspired Jett’s character in the later books), and the mythology practically wrote itself. The characters and power dynamics in Eros’ Edge are drawn from real encounters with elite figures across music, occult, and government spheres – some Grammy-winning, some ancient, but all unforgettable. This isn’t just fantasy, it’s documentary fiction disguised as dark romance.

Other Houses in the Eros’ Edge series draw from equally authentic sources: House Fenrir reflects Norse traditions I encountered during extensive travels through Finland, while House Chimera explores pharmaceutical power structures, House Munin channels intelligence networks like the CIA and MI6, and House Templar examines Vatican hierarchies. What readers think is fiction is often coded documentation of metaphysical practices and power structures most people don’t even know exist.

Through extensive study of a living Kemetic vampiric order that practices ancient (non-reconstructionist) Egyptian traditions. Unlike popular vampire lore, their vampirism isn’t achieved through fantasy: it’s divine ascension granted by the goddess through sacred ritual and communion. There are no fangs, no neck bites, and no eternal damnation.

True spiritual vampirism is about the soul, not the body. Vampires do indeed die, their physical forms are subject to decay and death just like humans. What makes them vampiric is their soul’s energetic structure and their metaphysical needs that human energy systems cannot sustain. They are essentially non-human consciousness inhabiting human bodies.

There is nothing broken or wrong with their energy systems— what some humans call chakras, they refer to as Shen centers. Their energy system is complete, functional, and perfectly fine-tuned for their essence. It’s simply designed for a different type of consciousness than human bodies were meant to house, creating the need for specific energetic practices and sustenance.

They reincarnate and can go through cycles of death and rebirth in human form, carrying their vampiric essence across lifetimes. Some walking among us today are even rumored to have lived before the time of the Pharaohs, though such ancient ones will neither deny nor confirm their origins. This is why Eve’s journey isn’t about being “turned.” It’s about awakening what was always there, lifetime after lifetime.
